A view of our backyard. The tree in the pot you see next to our patio is a columnar apple tree it never gets much bigger than what you see, and it does produce apples (this particular tree hasn’t been the most ‘fruitful’). It’s engineered for patios and small spaces.

Rose Festival

Today, the last of Portland’s Rose Festival fleet left town. Every summer for the past 99 years, Portland has thrown a big party called the Rose Festival. Part of the festivities are visits by ships representing the US Navy, the Coast Guard and the Canadian Navy.
